Today I went out with my husband and baby boy to get a gift for my soon to be born nephew. I'm looking forward to being an aunt. I see my how excited my sisters get when they see my baby boy, so I hope it's the same for me when I see Sebastian. Granted I'm pretty sure I'll never get as excited as I get when I see my son. I guess it's just a different kind of love.

I'd gotten two lipsticks from MAC last Saturday, a pinkish one-FAUX- and a reddish one-DUBONNET. I'd already gotten the chance to use FAUX, but not the red one. I thought that today would be the day to do a bold lip. I'm a stay-at-home mommy, who crashed her car 4 months ago, so I don't get out that much.

I did my face, followed it with a pinkie blush and lined my eyes with MAC carbon eyeshadow. Now to the tricky part...I lined my lips with a red liner from MAC-to avoid feathering- and then proceeded to fill in my lips. Afterward, I followed it with my red lipstick. I felt and looked awesome. The lips were a bit dramatic but, I guess that's sort of the statement I wanted to make. Years back I would never have dared to do a red lip but, now that I'm about to start up a new decade I feel like I can pull it off. I see red lips and I think bold, dramatic, sophisticated, confidence. That's precisely how I felt today...confident.
